AS ALL UK REIKI FEDERATION MEMBERS WERE INFORMED ON 20/03, IN THE LIGHT OF RECENT GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE ON SOCIAL DISTANCING, WE SHOULD ‘CEASE HANDS-ON THERAPIES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT... AND SUSPEND SEEING OUR CLIENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE’.
FORTUNATELY REIKI DISTANCE HEALING IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE VIRUS OR ITS CONSEQUENCES IN ANY WAY, AND IS AS POTENT AS HANDS-ON TREATMENTS.

Hello! My name is Ama.
I started OXFORD REIKI in 2008, after qualifying as a Reiki Master/Teacher with Reiki Evolution. I have been a registed Member of the UK Reiki Federation (UKRF) for over 9 years.
In 2009 a serious health problem put an end to my practice as a Holistic Massage Therapist, which had become too physically demanding.This turned out to be a real blessing, as it enabled me to explore in much greater depth this beautifully gentle yet powerful and versatile healing energy, which I am still just as fascinated by 11 years on...

THE O.R OBJECTIVE
My intention has always been to try and follow the original approach to giving, teaching and LIVING Reiki which its founder MIKAO USUI used a century ago.
This involves:
- Offering quality treatments.
- Allowing students to absorb the course contents and new energy at their own pace through the one-to-one teaching method I have developed since 2008. (Please note that if you vibe with the O.R approach but wish to complete the course in a shorter time and/or at lower cost, you may be able to join one of my occasional workshops).
- Helping students from Reiki 2 (Practitioner Level) to Reiki 4 (Teacher Level) develop their confidence and competence through a number of enjoyable Case Study assignments, with ongoing feedback from me....
- Alternatively if you love Reiki, but do not wish to do assignments at this point, you are still welcome to do the Reiki 2 Level to strengthen your practice/understanding of Reiki and self-Reiki, as well as learn how to give Distance Healing. At the end of the course you will receive your Certificate of Attendance, but not the Practitioner's Certificate. (Reiki 2 Practitioner Certificates are only useful if you want to give Reiki professionally or as a volunteer in hospitals/ hospices etc). Similarly it is possible to go on to Level 3 for its in-depth self-healing content without doing Reiki 2 Case Studies, but you will need to have given yourself a lot of Reiki to be ready for this Level.
- Encouraging students to develop their own unique connection with Reiki and explore every aspect of it, particularly its spiritual dimension, which is by far the most remarkable and important gift from Reiki.
- Offering people who did a Reiki course in the past -with myself or someone else- but stopped using it, a chance to have it back in their lives. O.R offers one-to-one Refresher courses which help you catch up and continue on your Reiki journey without having to start all over again.

REIKI CHANGES LIVES
Whether you just receive a 'taster' session, a course of treatments or some Distance Healing; whether you study the short self-healing course or all 4 Reiki Levels and become a Teacher, provided you have an open mind and an open heart, you are likely to get deeply touched by Reiki, as millions of people already are worldwide.
Why?
Because Reiki is the most loving healing energy... Students sometimes look at me in disbelief when I say that healing does not always come from a place of Love... (remember Rasputin?)
Well, Reiki IS Love, the energy of pure Unconditional Love, and in my eyes, one of the most precious gifts to mankind.

REIKI AND SELF-HEALING
An important difference between Reiki and some other forms of healing is the practice of Self-Healing. Central to the Reiki practice, self healing is simple, instant and very effective, whatever your age and physical, emotional or spiritual background or issues.
Through my own urgent need for self-reiki in 2009, I learnt what a powerful tool it can be and decided to offer accessible one to one self-reiki courses to people who need it.
Important Note: If sadly 'our time has come', or some huge crisis which we have a lot to learn from is hitting us, Reiki cannot and will not magically take it away from us, but Reiki being the wonderful loving energy that it is, will always help us cope better, cope with the pain, cope with the fear, help us find our own inner peace and grow spiritually from our crisis.
